Re:The Administrator has disabled public access - 2006/10/17 15:49
Dear friends of democracy and advocates of human rights:
Constant & heavy spam attacks during the last weeks have overwhelmed the limited human resources available to maintain this Forum. Volunteers cannot supress such frequent and obnoxious trash messages within a reasonable time frame. Therefore, we have decided to place some limitations on how messages may be published.
That is why users are finding now a note reading "The administrator has disabled public write access", meaning that in order to insert a new post or reply, users must identify themselves. The only way to do so is to register first in our Participative Forum.
Registration is absolutely free, without complications and with some notable advantages (read our "Tutorial" in this Forum to learn them). If you have not registered before, the procedure is as simple as a click in "register here" under LOGIN FORM in the left column of this Forum and following instructions as they appear. If you are already registered, it is even easier: just write your ID and password on the LOGIN FORM. Those who check on "Recordarme" will not have to do that again on future visits because the system will automatically do so for them.
This measure will prevent most future trash messages and spam in our Forum. This is neither a final measure nor it implies in the meantime a lot of effort for users. However, if you find this limitation too bothersome, please write us a note with your objections or suggestions to our webmaster. We may reconsider it according to your views.
